About Us

History

Coalition of Americans for Political and Social awareness (CAPSA) is created in 2019 to promote political and social awareness among Asian, Latino, and African American communities of Greater Houston by a group of political and social activists who worked in the political and social arena. Most of CAPSA activists have been involved in various campaigns to help them win elections. We at CAPSA felt the need for collaboration among minorities of greater Houston. This prompted a need to organize as a professional organization that can educate our communities on political and social issues. The need for our community members to be more informed about political and social issues on local, state, and National level.

The Coalition of Americans for political and Social Awareness (CAPSA) will provide programs and public forums in the greater Houston area. Now, more than ever, it is important that we equip residents of our Greater City with the tools to succeed in an interconnected world of politics and social environment, where actions of our citizens, communities can impact us all.

What We Do

The CAPSA will arrange for screening of all the candidates for local and national election and will advise communities which candidates are addressing our community concerns and issues such as Islamophobia, Immigration Reform, and Education etc. etc. And will provide the channels of communication between communities and candidates for various offices. CAPSA will be a connection between elected officials and community leaders who are politically and socially active for resolution of variety of issues.

Our Mission

The mission of our organization is to promote political and social understanding of the World, its people, politics, and harmony among communities of greater Houston by educating minority communities on political and social issues

Letter Of Appreciation

Good morning,

I wanted to say another thank you for your incredibly kind and generous donation.

We’ve ordered all the equipment, but shipping and supply shortages across the country have delayed much of the order. However, with your help, we had our nets, we had our field leveled, and we had the lines painted. And then yesterday….nearly 40 students stayed after school for our first day of practice!

These students had to be passing all their classes, and we required to have no tardies for a week in order to be there. It wasn’t easy, but they did it, and they were motivated thanks to what you made possible.

Next week to be eligible, each of them must stay after school on Tuesday to attend tutoring in the subject of their choice. What makes this even more exciting is that we’ve paired with Klein Forrest High School, and their National Honor Society is sending over eight student tutors on Tuesday to help make tutoring on this scale possible. I couldn’t be more excited to see them serve their district and their organization (and support your project) by being there to help grow our kids.

A lot of good has come from your partnership with our school. Thank you, sincerely for giving our students this advantage.

India and Pakistan Two neighbors, Two enemies. Hate is not answer

I have been appalled by insanity shown by Indian government and Pakistani government. The leaders of these two countries have nothing better to give to their people but fear, wars, poverty , and the religious hate. For the Last 70 years both countries have been...
