Naeem Raja

 Director

Naeem Raja is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton, Florida. He was a student senator at the FAU student senate. He has been a student leader from his high school and been involved in student politics during stay at FAU. He worked for IBM and Hewlett Packard for several years. He has been a resident of Houston for the last 23 years. He started his grassroot politics after school. He is an active participant in local politics and social activities. Mr. Raja had been Democratic Party’s precinct chair for 2 terms in his area. He served on ISGH local zonal council for several years. And served on several committees to support community initiatives. He has been part of various social initiatives to serve his community through Islamic Society of greater Houston. He helped several political candidates and organized volunteer drives to help various candidates to support their campaigns. He attended several social events to support humanitarian causes. He has been a political and social worker for the last several years.

 

Muhammad Afzal Abbasi

Director

He has experience servicing the Pakistani and Muslim Houston community for over 35 years. He has worked tirelessly on campaigns for U.S. Congress and local governments and the Texas Supreme Court. He has served the community through his roles as the elected Chairman of the Cultural and Religious Committee of the Pakistan Association of Greater Houston, General Secretary of Tehreek-i-Insaaf (Houston), and as an elected member of the Islamic Society of Greater Houston. 

Muhammad Ali

Director

Member Advisory Panel San Jacinto Community College Pharmacy Tech Program. He was the Vice President of International Student Organization. He was elected Precinct Chair HCDP, he is a member Finance committee SD6 HCDP.

Dr. Humayun Mirza

 Director

Dr. Humayun Mirza served as the Chief of Cardiology at Spring Branch Medical Center. Hymayyun Mirza has received several academic awards including the Young Investigator Award, the American College of Cardiology Presidential Affiliate Award and has several publications in peer reviewed journals and has contributed a book chapter to a pharmacology textbook as well. Aside from 4 nominations for the Physician of the Year, he is the recipient of several Community Service Awards as well.
He has been a Houstonian since 2003 and has been passionately involved in supporting organizational charity, volunteer work, as well as educational and mass information efforts.”
